![]() ![]() Action Comics has been flying under the radar, as we haven’t recorded many sales until this massive sale of a graded 9.8 for $800 on 5/3/23, which surpassed all sales of Man of Steel #17 and #18 (1st full appearance of Doomsday). Although both issues have an issue date of November 1992, Man of Steel was released in September, making it the first cameo. ![]() Action Comics contains the 2nd cameo of the infamous Super-man killer Doomsday, which was (almost) the exact same panel as Man of Steel #17. These DC later printings have the same cover but are distinguished by a Roman numeral underneath the price. Collectors only used to care about later printings with different covers, but those tastes are changing. Later printings are all the rage nowadays, mainly due to their smaller print runs.
